About compunct

compunct makes short narrated videos for one person at a time: you. You talk to it in plain conversation, it learns what you care about, and it turns that into videos made for how you learn — sometimes because you asked, sometimes because something happened in a topic you follow.

When a video covers real events, it is built on research, not invention: the system retrieves real sources, writes the script against that evidence, checks every claim it makes, and shows you the sources next to the finished video. The full process is described on the how it's made page, including exactly which parts are AI-generated (all of them) and what keeps them honest.

Your library is yours. Videos made for you are private by default, and even a video you choose to share publicly never exposes why it was made for you.

Who makes it

compunct is built and run by Curtis, an independent developer. He has spent years building automated video pipelines — scripting, narration, image generation, rendering — and compunct is that experience turned into a product: video generation pointed at a single viewer instead of an audience.
